The beginning of a full-sized sketch for a new cutout/assemblage/wall thing.
Some screen printed and painted backgrounds on wood.
Pulled proofs of both the wood and lead type today. Still need to get started on my linocut.
Trying to finesse this text into some nice spacing. Phone cameras are nice for being to flip images for pre-proofing.
Translation for those who need it: We stay dry under our umbrella.
Upholstering some wall circles with painted, printed, and embroidered stuff.
Packing boxes full of paper crystals to be hung in the Marsh Gallery tomorrow with a bunch of other stuff.
Finishing up the last batches of prints for my installation.
By the end of today, I will have pulled a varied edition of 129 multiple layer screenprints in two and a half days.
Then I have to cut up everything and fold most of the paper into various prismatic forms.
Expect a wave of posts soon with photos from the entire endevor.
Posting this just so people remind me to finish this later, because I am about to make and eat the most delicious sandwich ever and will probably forget about this.
So yeah, I am reworking this illustration. I don’t know what I want to do for the background yet, but I think I want to do this as a print.
Would you be more into this as a hand-colored etching or a silkscreen poster?
I’m getting a little tired of my body falling apart all the time.
Tell Me What to Draw is still happening, just not immediately. I think I’ll be up to continuing it in a few more days.
I was working on this, thinking to use it for my portfolio site and suddenly decided against it. This will now go live in that folder of unfinished illustrator and photoshop files on my desktop.
In case you couldn’t already tell, this is going to be a girl on a fixie when it’s done.
